FREEMAN COMPANY publicists 1/17 Mr* Jess Corkin PARADE Magazine 405 Lexington Avenue New York, 17, NY Dear Jess, Hope this finds you well and not too frozen to get a little kick out of theenclosed pix. A bright "new" comic named JERRY LEWIS was greeted at the Sands during his engagement there by the local "honorgirl" outfit, The Rhythmettes, precision-dancer-marchers who have to maintain a high B average to stay in the group* They must also maintain severe weight standards as well as be pretty* Sixteen places are filled by competition each year from among 1100 entrants* Jerry was impressed with the girls, but told them he didn't think their work was so hard, and so he proved it In the following pictures* I believe they tell wore than I can. The Rhythmettes toured W last year as honor group representing American high schools, also are featured on the Sullivan Show, and in the Warner Brothers film "Howdy Pardner." Thought you might coWidei" the pix for PARADE, perhaps as one of yott\r "strips" of pix stories. Would appreciate your comment. When Jerry opens here again on Monday, Jan 21, the Rhythmettes will be guests of honor,, his treat. Kindest regards* Al freeman PS. 9508 W Pix are naturally exclusive to youi for SOUR Edncisioft*, ER$hi&L*s'cftM^tRift&fcHB*M?6fif them?╟≤ V**B>. *"*" **f\
