All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed. Section 3. The City Clerk and the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this Ordinance No. 501 to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its final reading and adoption, in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. Absent: Mayor Baker. s/ Reed Whipple Mayor Pro Tem (SEAL) ATTEST: s/ Shirley Ballinger City Clerk ORDINANCE NO. 502 AN ORDINANCE TO RESTRICT THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS TO THOSE AREAS FRONTING ON DEDICATED STREETS, OR DEFINITELY PLATTED ON OFFICIAL MAPS; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH: WHEREAS, many building permits are being issued for construction upon unplatted areas within the City; and. WHEREAS, it appears that the continued issuance of such permits may in the future result in great expense and inconvenience to the City and the general public because of the need of furnishing access to said areas; and WHEREAS, certain persons are making sales of unplatted parcels without informing purchasers that there are no dedicated streets to serve said areas; and WHEREAS, the City must have access to all areas of the incorporated limits for the purpose of furnishing necessary police and fire protection as well as garbage and sewer facilities, NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
