Management The local management is under a general manager and his operating staff. Water utility officers are officers and/or employees of the Union Pacific Railroad Company. On October 1, 1950, the operating personnel of the Las Vegas water distribution system consisted of 16 full-time employees. The positions and duties involved are listed below: General Manager. Has direct supervision of all the affairs of the Las Vegas operations of the Company. Assistant to General Manager. In charge of office, including supervision of office personnel, compilation of records, collections and accounting. Superintendent. Oversees all outside operations of distribution system, including construction and repairs. On contract j work acts as inspector. Duties include waiting on public and compiling of reports to accounting department of the Water Utility. Checker. Chiefly engaged in counting number of houses served and collecting other data used in flat-rate billing. Rooming House Maids (3). Rooming house and office cleaning. V Water Service Gang (7 men).
