Clark, Chief Engineer and Manager Referring to our., conference of the other day concerning a Board appraisal of the some six hundred acres of land of the Las; Vegas; Land and Water Company under consideration for purchase by your District, permit me to advise that in appraisals of this kind our schedule provides that the fee to be charged may be the subject of agreement between the committee and the party for whom the appraisal is made but in appraisals which appear to be simple appraisals of the value of unimproved property we have followed the recommended schedule of the Board, as follows: On all appraisals up to a value of f £,000,00 $ £0,00 From # £,000,00 to $ 10,000.00 7^ ,0 0 From 10,000,00 to 20,000.00 100.00 From 20,000,00 to 100,000.00 - #2.£0 per M 200.00 From 100,000.00 to £00,000.00 - #2.00 per M 800.00 Thus on an appraisal totalling #£00,000.00 the appraisal fee would be #1,22£.00 Over #£00,000.00 the rate goes to #1.00 per M Under our Board appraisals, a committee of three members is appointed and the committee endeavours to check carefully all sales made within the prescribed area and for a period of time prior to the request and all other factors which might affect the Chairman, Committee for above appraisal.
