Fr, Mojave Ariz. July 23. The Honorable Commissioner of Indian Affairs Washington D.C. Sir: In reply to your letter of July 10, 1890 Education #20641, I have the honor to state that I had hope to have Mrs. M Cowan for the Nation of the Mojave school. Our com-bind salary would make it an object for as to remain for a time in the hottish place in the U.S. (a fact according to each years reports). I write to Mrs. Smith offering her if she was physically and otherwise competent the pasiture of cook, but as I have nothing from her 2 measure this was not satisfactory. Very respectfully S.M.McCowan Supt.
