Marked progress has been made and but a few nine years of such work will make an English speaking nation of the Indian. Many of the older Indians are opposed to sending the children to school, and living so near the school are a source of constant annoyance. However, we gathered over 100 of the little ones into school last year, and I think we can do as well this year. Indian Courts An Indian Court would be of great advantage to the Supt. in controlling the Indians who are off the reservation and consequently think they are their own masters.
