Holt for §17.35, claiming that ho would not accept less than §50.00 a month for work dene by him on the ranch. In accordance with the conversation which you had with Hr. J. Ross Clark, while you were in the city here, in which Mr. Clark would not allow Holt more than §40.00 if he wished to stay, I return herewith the voucher and check for pay­ment to Holt.
