    Los Angeles, Iff* 20, 1919. 139-0 Mr* J. i* Parrell, Portland, Oregon* Dear Slrj- Whlle I was in Las Togas a few days ago Mr. Braoken, who is representativ© of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company at that plaoe, advised rae that he had an offer for Lots |j 7 and 8 in Block 4, Clark’s Las Vegas Townsite, from Mr. E* W* Griffith at $300* each* These lots are listed on our schedule at #400* each, hut the 1 coat ion and surroundings are such that we have not been able to dispose of them at that figure, and in response to Mr. Bracken’s request, I made a personal inspection of the property and really feel that the lots are worth not to exceed |300. each* 1, therefore, authorized him to make the sale to Mr# Griffith at that figure* The land is to be used for lumber yard purposes and is situated in a part of the town built up principally of shacks* and so 1s undesirable for any purpose other than something of the nature for which Mr* Griffith proposes to use it* I will appreciate your approval of ray action in this matter* Vours very truly,
