I It M September 23. 1918, Senator ?l* A* Clark* Butte, Montana* v Bear Brother,- I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 17th, enclosing Mr* Soger's letter, which was the tepj of your latter to me of the 16th, concerning authority of Special Committee, which I have noted and return herewith. The lovornment management desired the Board o/ Directors to- pass a resolution giving authority to one or more persons to approve of certain things that they will submit to the corporation, Mr, Balated prepared the resolution, and I also understood he talked the matter over with Mr. Seger while in Hew York. You can assure Mr. Segir that so far as I am concerning I will not approve anything of great importanci without consulting you, and I presume Mr. Farrell will’desire to take the same position. However, there will be a good many small matters com® up from time to time that Mr* Farrell and I should be ^bl© to dispose of without unnecessary delay in submitting to you and Mr* Seger; in other words, carry the work along about the same lines that Mr. Platt and myself did. We will certainly exercise our best judgment in trying to work it out, which we hope will be satisfactory to both you and Mr. 'Seger* fine.) Your affectionate brother, vmi
