Dear Sir: I beg leave to report herewith a visit made to the experimental farms at Malone, Millard County and at Kada, Beaver County on Wednesday, May 6th. The visit of inspection was made in company with Mr. J. H. Harderfield and Mr. L. M. Winsor representing the Utah agricultural College and the United States Department of Agriculture. At Malone: An experimental farm of ten acres has been selected on the farm of Mr. Thomas Johnson at Malone and Mr. Johnson has been installed as manager. The farm has been cleared of brush, plowed and for the most part levelled. Considerable seeding has been done and the instructions given by Mr. Winsor relative to the seeding have been closely followed. * Mud: of the grain and also the alfalfa is already up and is making a particularly fine showing. Posts for the fence have been erect­ed along theee sides, the railroad will erect the fence along its right of way within the next few days and it is the in­tention to use rabbit proof wire so that the entire farm will be, within the next few days, enclosed with a rabbit tight fence.
