i Salt Xkk® City* August 28th, 1915, Mr. H. C. Mutt, General Manager, Loa Angeles. Dear Sir: Referring to your joint letter August 20th, describing trip to lake Valley. If you consider this of sufficient importance, do you not think it would be well to secure the services of Mr. Francis 1. Sellew, whom I spoke to you about recently as having established an office in Los Angeles for the purpose of entering upon the business of exporting for railroads, proposed irrigation projects, drainage, flood control, and related questions. Mr. Sellew was in charge of the Yuma project from its inception until a few months ago, and years of observation of his activities led a© to regard him as a man of very high ability and thoroughness in that class of work* determined definitely with reference to Lake Valley, are those of water supply, soil value, and its possibilities for dry farming.
