Las vegas, February 18th We learned this morning that you wouldn’t be back for a few more days, so are sending you your personal mail, or that portion of it which Mrs. Bracken thought you should have right away. Vice-President Robinson was here yesterday, came in on No-21, in Car 102, and departed on lo-7. Kipp came up from Los Angeles on Ho-22 that morning, and the entire party was supposed to go to the Dam. However, Mr. Kipp was not feeling very well, so he remained at Las Vggas. Oashman loaned us the use of a new LaSalle and the party, Mr. Robinson and his wife and the secretary Shanihan had a very pleasant trip, Tom driving them to both the upper portals and down to the lower portals. There were 112 passengers in the escorted tour yesterday in charge of Smithroth, and the trip was carried out very nicely. The trip to the Upper coffer-dam has now been eliminated as the water in the lake is rising, making the bank too soft for safety with the big heavy buses.
