§• \ Las Vegas « April 1, 19 5 4 W 26 Mr. Wsu Reinhart - Los Angeles ees Mr. E. E. Sennett Attached please find copy of letter to me from Mr. Harry E. C *** Secretary, Las Vegas Valley Water District, dated March 30, :jW4, relative to construction of a baseball diamond by the Recreation Department of City of Las Vegas on land which it is proposed to sell the District under Agreement ttC*L.D. 11342. The area of desired by the Recreation Department is located on Water Company property several hundred feet northerly of the elevated steel water tank on Charleston Boulevard adjacent /j^Nfco f|yde Park Subdivision. The question as to entering into a lease with the Recreation Department was raised here some time ago, but r informed Mr« Trent of the Recreation Department that, in view of the pending sale to the Water District, it was doubtful whether M'?ur executlves would approve a lease of any part of the land which it is proposed to sell the District under the terms of the above _mentioned agreement. When this matter came up it was suggested -^"that they wait until the District assumed ownership of this land, •kt which time they could deal directly with the District. Mr. James M. Caahaan told me yesterday that he feels that this delay would interfere with the Recreation Department's plans for the coming summer, but I told Mr. Cashman that, nevertheless, we still felt that the Recreation Department should wait until the eale takes place. If you have any different ideas on this matter, •lease advise and I will so inform the District. ? A /t /ia, L. R. Haag Attachment L R M S lm
