I Herewith six copies each of three statements showing the information requested with respect to the cost of certain additions and betterments charged to the investment account due to constructing improvements to the IA&SLRR Co. water production facilities at Las Vegas, and six copies each of three statements showing similar information for the LVL&W Go. water distribution facilities# These statements have been identified as Nos. 1, 2, and 3 in the order in which they were requested in your letter. Hie figures shown in the fourth and fifth columns of LA&SLRR Go# Statement No. 1 were not requested and they have been reported simply as information and for balancing purposes# The figures reported in the third column were requested. As a matter of information, expenditures were incurred prior to January 1, 1952 on three work orders shown on LVL&W Go. Statement No. 1, as follows: • o J2? • o Amount 674 $26,246.99 684 980.38 685 5.706.84 Total $32,934.21 These expenditures are deemed to be included in the basic purchase price. The cut-off date for the figures shown on all statements Nos. 2 and 3 is March 31, 1953, «fcich is the latest date that firm figures are presently available. In this connection, it is now understood from your telegram B-48 of May 5, 1953 that the basic purchase price includes all expenditures for additions and betterments made to September 1, 1952 regardless that some of the expenditures were incurred on projects not in service on that date. This appears to be supported by Mr. Hulsizer’s letter of January 13, 1953 in which such expenditures are shown as being included in the appraisals made by Union Pacific engineers and Water District en—
