Lob Angeles, February 11, 1953 80-11 Mr. H. L. Adamson: (cc - Mr. L. R. Mftag) I am starting to prepare final contract for sale of the water system at Las Vegas to the Las Vegas Valley Wa ter District. The contract of sale should have attached to it maps showing the facilities which will be sold to the District. I think the map marked Exhibit "A-l" attached to the proposed pipe line agreement with the District Twill be sufficient to show the location of the Railroad facilities which will be sold as they existed on September 1, 1952. Perhaps the facilities being constructed in connection with the new 300,000 gallon elevated tank should be Indicated In color on the map so such facilities can be referred to in the contract as facilities which were under construction but not completed on September 1, 1952. Will you also please arrange to prepare and furnish map similar in size to Exhibit "A-l" showing the location of the distribution system of the LVL&W Company which was in existence on September 1, 1952. I do not think it will be necessary to show the sizes of the various mains in separate colors, but you should show in one color the mains which were completed on September 1, 1952, and in another color the mains which were partially but not wholly completed on September 1, 1952. The map need not show any jobs which were Initiated subsequent to September 1, 1952. However I should like to discuss this feature with you because if there have been a number of capital additions commenced since September 1, 1952, it might be well to show them on the map to indicate to the District the additional work which they will have to pay for so far as it is known at the time the contract is drawn.
