Bennett: In accordance with your request, I have prepared statement showing lowering of the water table of the Las Vegas Artesian Basin at Las Vegas, Nevada, as indicated by selected wells* Two copies of the statement dated July 21}, 1953» and two maps showing locations of the wells are attached for your use. The maps have been prepared for your personal use and are not for public distrib­ution. I am returning to you herewith copy of original field notes labeled "Sheets on Strip" of measurements of various wells at Las Vegas taken by United States Department of Interior, Geological Survey, Water Resources Branch, and copy of map showing portions of Las Vegas Artesian Basin, dated August 15, 1952, which is also the property of the Water Resources Branch.
