Geological surrey In the baa Togas Artesian Basin, particularly on our own wells* Since receiving your letter, I have had a conference with both George Maxey and Barry Jameson and it was decided that we would place certain wells in operation f or four daye, February IS #? 19 inol* usive,without opening or elosing them during thie period so that a steady flow could be maintained from the underground channel* On the 8th day, February 20th, well Bo* 11 will be opened up and permitted to flow frost a 34 or 46 hour period during whloh time pressure readings will be taken on adjacent wells In that vicinity* A report of their operations during this period will be furnished you* Following is a description of our system and operational the has Tegas water production system located on tJ«?*R*R* ground l<*7/8ths miles West of the City consists of 11 wells, two springs, a 3$ million gallon reservoir and two settling basins, theproduotIon is per 19 million gallons per day, of which 80$ is used by the City and the remaining 20$ by the railroad company the distribution system, operated by the Las Tegas Land and Water Company consists of 223,980 feet of distribution mains(as of December 31, 1943)*
