Over 30,000 feet of new oast Iron water mains were installed in Lae Vegas In 1942 to take oar of the 600 new houses built for Defense Housing alone. And the potential capacity for water production was practically doubled. The statistics are as follows: Potential Production 1941 - 6,380,000 gallons per day. 1942 - 11,320,000 gallons per day. Humber of Service Connections: 1941 - 2468 1942 - 3069 Sources of Supply; 1941 * 2 springs and 6 wells 1942 - 2 springs and 10 wells, with pumps.
