Dear Sir: Referring to your J—300 and our telephone conversation with Mr. Briscoe concerning reconciliation covering water consumption in Las Vegas 1930 *- 1941 as outlined in my telegram B-3G March 24th and as given you each year for Annual Report. I submit the following explanation: 1931: Total water sold, as shown for annual report, 650,000,000 as reported to us by R. R. Co. Actual according to monthly reports was 650,000,032, however last 32 . gilions was dropped by R.R.Co. to make even amount. September, October, November, and December estimated account meter out of order. 1933: Apparently due to accumulation of small discrepancies each month carried by using conversion factor of 7.5 gals, per cu. ft. but using 7.48 gals, in converting annual. ' - iff 1933: Error in calculations, made in adding total gallons by months to get annual total for annual report. 823,393,979 is correct. 1937: Typo r&phical error in my telegram; should have read 125,495,047 cu, ft. or 938,703,963 gals, as shown on annual report. 1939-1940-1941: Please see exchange of correspondence commencing with your File BD 1-8 June 7, 1938. After a conference in Los Angeles in Aug. 1938 it was agreed that the R.R. forces would furnish water information to this office where statistics would be compiled, to insure consistency in the figures furnished you.
