Bracken, Vice-President and Agent, Las Vegas Land and Water Company, Las Vegas, Nevada. Dear Sir: Please refer to your letter February 12, file W-35-1, regarding information in connection with Auditor's request January 31. The following answers are to questions as numbered in your letter: 5. Source of Water Supply: u Artesian well and two springs. /- 6. Maximum .ug£.ax Supply: During 1928 maximum flow which was available for carry­ing through pipe line was 4023 gallons per minute; how­ever, when considering various measurements taken, there was available for the entire year a total of 2,017,586,614 gallons. 7. Total Water Pumped or Diverted From Stream: Water is not diverted from Las Vegas Creek, but during 1928 regular flow from one spring not connected to pipe line amounted to 184,968,000 gallons, which is a flow of 0.8 cubic feet per second. This flow was augmented on account of maximum supply given in Item 6 not being used, resulting in excess water over that used flowing down Las Vegas Cree&\and being utilized for irrigating pur­poses .a The to^tfal amount of water flowing to the Ranch during \L928 amounted to 1,391,195,000 gallons. 8.
