In Linooln County during the previous year, the Railroad Company paid $3Q3,300*04 which represents approximately 80 per oent of all taxes paid in that County, The above figures for Clark County do not include taxes paid by the Las Vegas Land and Water Co. which in 1938 amounted to an additional f9,l§9.44, The present county tax rate is $5 per ilQQ - of valuation, which is the maximum permitted by law, this rate varying somewhat in outlying districts of the county* As a matter of information 1 attach hereto a statement of valuations, broken down between different school districts* Very truly yours, WALTER R.
