Campbell, President Board of Directors Las Vegas Valley Water District 135 South Fourth Street las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Campbell: Mr. Reinhardt informed me that you are considering the employment of a manager for the Las Vegas water system. If such is the case I would like to submit my application for the position. The following is a short resume of my back­ground and qualifications. I am forty-two years of age, married and have an eight­een year old daughter. For the past ten years I have been Director of the Division of Sanitation for the Monterey County Health Department, and previously was employed for four years with the Bureau of Local Health Services of the State Depart­ment of Public Health. I attended Citrus Junior College in Clendora, California and the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. I did not graduate as financial reasons prohibited my continuing. In my capacity with the State and Local Health Depart­ments I have worked closely with water companies and munici­palities concerning problems of water production, distribution, purification and quality. I am a member of the American Water Works Association and am a past president of the Monterey Bay chapter of the California section of that association. Other activities include membership in the First Methodist Church, Lion's Club, Boy Scout Council and other civic groups.
