Table 9 shows that the total amount of operating storage required on the Lake Mead system Is 4.3 MG. This then would be divided as follows: Elevated Storage 1.1 MG Ground Level Storage 3.2 MG Elevated storage should he so located as to provide equalized pressures throughout the urban area. One location for elevated storage is at the extension of Sixth Street and Oakey Boulevard. This site is on reasonably high ground, Elevation 2,030, is well suited for a terminal from the supplementary lines from Lake Mead and is close to an area of large water consumption. Further, it is close to an area which now suffers from low water pressure during periods of high water consumption.
