It varies from #4.00 per house in July to 91 cents per house in December with an average of #2.09 for the 8 months. Phis compares favorably with the flat rate paid in Las Vegas of #2.00 per month per house. You will note the consumption varies fro® an average of 124? gallons daily for each house in July to 285 gallons in December. One of our most difficult problems here in the desert is to convince people that water is a precious commodity and should not be wasted, fhe performance last year in the Army Housing Project was particularly discouraging, with a stream of water running down the center of the roadway almost the entire summer, fro* lawns permitted to overflow
