Fitzgerald, Regional Counsel Q-entlemens Your letter February 6th, *R-X:Legal:Car:Nev 26029 and 26111*, concerning water service for proposed new Army Housing projects in Las Vegas: We shall be glad to furnish water through a master meter at the rate of 8# per 100 cu. ft, if a meter can be procured. We have none available and doubt that a suitable one can be purchased. That is the reason we made the suggestion that If a master meter could not be secured, water could be furnished the new Army houses at the usual flat rate. It is understood of course that If a meter can be pro­cured, its cost will be borne by the Government, as was the ease with the meter installed for the present Army Housing project here. We are making inquiries of meter manufacturers and supply houses, With my letter January 28tfe, I sent you a tracing of the locality referred to, with request that you Indicate thereon the outlines of proposed tract; will you kindly return the tracing? My purpose was to determine the most advantageous point to deliver water, in case a ©aster meter could be procured. Further study presents two possible solutions: If a new sietex* s oe obtaineo, it mlgbtt be placed c^t the north end of Block 10 on the 6 inch main running east on Marlin Avenue; and probably arrangements could be made for you to take over that portion of the 6-inch line inside the project, at actual cost.
