I Las Vegas - March 8,1945 W 18-4-4 Mr. R. L. Adamson: Your letter February 20, File 1-7534, enclosing specifications for renewal of roofing on Company rooming house, Las Vegas. I enclose herewith bids from Roberts Roofing Company Cravens Roofing Company. These men were formerly partners but are now competitors and while the estimated cost is pretty high we can expect that during War times. We recently renovated the upstairs rooms on the old side of the house and every time It rains the roof leaks and spoils the Job. In fact we have had more rain here In the first week of March than we ordinarily have in a whole month, and I am anxious to get the roofing work started and completed at the earliest possible date. We discussed this with Mr. Strong the last time he was in Las Vegas and we wish you would confer with him with a view to securing early authority for the expenditure. The present roof has been in place for the past 20 years and we have patched it up from time to time until the life is now gone out of the present covering. WALTER Rl BtfA(SK§N cc: Mr. Frank strong.
