Las Vegas - February 23, 1945 W 33-4-3-A Mr, Frank Strongs Referring to our conference, in Los Angeles February 20 at whloh time X showed you a letter from Mayor S. f* Cragin concerning water service to Woodland Park, I am enclosing & copy of the letter for your file. We have always had the sincere cooperation of Mayor Cragin, tout as X explained to him it is not practicable for us to lay a water line for the sole purpose of serving the Woodland Addition; and in addition arrangements are now toeing consummated under which the people in that addition &r© organising a mutual water company to distribute water therein. We have previously discussed the installation of a 16* main on Charleston Boulevard to afford a third inlet to the City and balance our water system, X realise it is not possible to install the line this year because of other heavy expenditures, but when the time comes when the additional transmlttlon main can be installed the servicing of water to Woodland Park and the Charleston district would be merely in­cidental to its main purpose.
