A preliminary estimate of the coat to extend water mains to ths tract would be in the neighborhood of $10,300, on the basis of using Id* Q t pipe. It Is difficult to estimate the eoet of installing water mains within the tract without a plat on which to design the extension but the ourrent cost of 8* pipe is $2.20 per foot and 6* pipe $1.50 per foot, F.o.B. Las Vegas, the cost of labor varying with the amount of rook that may be encountered. The Installation of fire hydrants Is under the supervision of the Fire Chief, and It la ay understanding that he considers coverage as being within the 300 foot radius from the fire hydrant.
