Mr. 0. M. Cory « Las Vegas This refers to our account with Mrs. W. Pickens, formerly located at 201 I. 21st Street, Las Vegas. In attempting to make collection for water service furnished this property during the months of December, 1951 through May, 1952, in the amount of $£13.50, Mrs. Pickens refused payment, stating that her husband had paid the bill prior to his leaving for military service in Korea. Auditing this account we find no payment was received and we requested the Pioneer Title & Trust Company to protect the above amount due us, which they did in the escrow. The Title Company verbally advises they are holding the amount due us but that Mrs. Pickens, who has subsequently moved from Las Vegas, has refused to author!ee payment. Attached is bill addressed to the Title Company for water service rendered Mrs. Pickens. Will you please handle with the Title Company for payment, advising. Las Vegas #. June 25, 1952 W 1~7~2 ¥, H.
