% w a s not sufficient w a t e r in the reservoir to spill over and r u n down the Creek, Last Sunday a heavy rain in Las Vegas gave us another "breathing spell and we n o w have a full tank of wa t e r w i t h a por t i o n r u n n i n g down the Creek. E a c h m o r n i n g w e have made inspection of the b u r i a l plot but so far no w a t e r has arrived at that point. This m o r n i n g we met Mrs. Stewart at the bu r i a l plot and she complained that her trees and grass were dying bec a u s e no w a t e r had b e e n furnished her since the middle of June. She has had the irrigation d i t c h cleaned out in a first olass ma n n e r b e t w e e n the f o u r - i n c h weir a n d the bu r i a l plot, and the reason no w a t e r is flo w i n g into the plot at the present time is b e c a u s e our d i t c h is overgrown w i t h weeds, moss, a n d debris. There is a constant flow f r o m the open spring of a p p r o x i m a t e l y 246 gallons per minute w h i c h should reach the b u r i a l plot at all times, without depending on the overflow f r o m the reservoir, but a l l of this water is lost for it w i n d s through the channel overgrown w i t h grass a n d none of it reaches the delivery point at the four-inch weir.
