4 is in fairly good shape as it is buried 'about 3/4 in the ground although it seemed to be about 1/4 full of old moss. Weir open­ing was made from 1/8* plate which was cut square and measured 2 -0-1/8 across the opening. The measuring hook in this box was found to be .004* higher than lip of weir. This was corrected and following readings were taken: Big Springs - 3-3/8* against a record reading of 3-5/8" as of July 30th Well #2 - 5-1/4" against a record July 30th reading of 5-3/8" as of Well #J6u ly- 320-t1h/.4" against a record reading of 2-3/8" as of The pump in Well #6 was not in operation snd has not been in operation this year according to Mr. Kamil. NOTE; Deep well pumps are located in Wells 05, 6 and 7. Wells 5 and 6 have not been running this year but pump in Well #7 has been running during the summer weather. Middle Springs V • Weir used for Middle Springs is practically worthless as it is made of 3* notched in a piece of wood beveled on lower side of lip but cut square on the sides with no metal around opening. While this weir was not considered* of any value, I took a reading of 1-3/8" as compared to a record reading of 1" as of July 30th. Well #5 A This well has previously been weired through wooden box located at the well. Although water from this well could be weired in same pond as Wells #1 and 3, this box leaks very badly and metal lip was loose from the wood. While a reading from this box was not considered of muoh value, I read 1-7/8" not Including the leaks which was estimated to be at least 1/8", or a total of 2" as compared to a record reading of 2" as of July 30th. Well #4 This well has a very good weir pond. Weir opening is made of very light galvanized metal and measures 3'-ll-7/8" across the opening. When pond was filled this weir leaked through boards below the level of the weir lip. Metal was not tight to lip in spots. Measuring peg was found to be .021' lower than lip of weir. After adjusting peg, weir reading was taken as 3-3/4" as compared to a record reading of 4-1/2" on July 30th
