I have the following clipping from Los Angeles Daily News: '•Lake Mead aqueduct to supply Las Vegas "Las Vegas, Nev., June 13«-(U.P.)- Las Vegas will soon get its water supply from nearby Lake Mead instead of depend­ing on desert artesian wells. "Harry E. Miller, president of the Las Vegas Water District, said a contract was signed yesterday with a Chicago engineering firm for the construction of a 30-mile aqueduct from the lake."
