Los Angeles - July 15* 1952 Nr. W.H. Johnson - Las Vegast oot Mr. Wm. Reinhardt 1 enclose herewith clipping from Las Vegas paper containing Notice of Application for Permission to Appropriate Water* one by R.D. Bingham of Las Vegas and one by Olive Craig of Las Vegas. In checking with Mr. Maag* I find that the Bingham location is down by the Flamingo Hotel but draw your attention to the fact that it is to be used for quasi-municipal purposes and the Craig location is apparently far removed from ovr water lands. Mr. Reinhardt suggested you might telephone Mr. Shamberger and ask him about these applications and ask him whether it would do a n y good for us to file protests in view of the reduction in our pro­duction ability during the present summer season.
