p , ^ ^ jUL 20 1954 July 20, 1954 MEMO TO FILE 174-2: In connection with the attached file, Mr. Cory advises that he talked to the Nevada State Engi­neer about ten days ago relative to preparation of the map, and it has not been received. Mr. Cory also stated he talked to Mr. Shamberger, State Engineer, who suggested that we file the application for certificate for the standby shop well and the application for the diversion of a portion of water from the existing shop well to the standby well at the same time; and then when the second shop well is completed, we could file the customary comple­tion requirements for both jobs at the same time. Mr. Cory also stated it would take a minimum of 45 days after we file our application for certificate before we would get a permit to drill the well. Jim Ellis just phoned and said the contractor would be through with the work on the tank the end of this week, and that it would take about a week to chlorinate and test it, and it could then be put in use by the first of the month.
