I 7L&^rJr ^ T M % August 13, 19ZK SUBJECT: Contract - City of Hephi - Water M Mr. 0©o. H. Smith, General Attorney, Salt Lake City, Utah. Bear Sir: Replying to your letter of August 9th, in connection with the above 1025 subject, your file , I am returning herewith attachments: Assurance of a water supply for railroad purposes is a thing of real value. The rate mentioned is 7 cents per thousand gallons. X do not know that our company can expect to obtain a water supply at a rate much cheaper than that at any time during the next ten years. I am inclined to think, therefore, that it would be well to draft an agreement covering a ten-year term, which will necessitate approval by the Finance Committee or the Board. This is a matter of comparatively slight complication in handling, and in view of the possible benefits it would seem to me as quite worthwhile. Perhaps you might discuss this situation with division offioers at Salt Lake. They may have other views. Very truly yours, (Enel.) Fred E. Pettit, jr. FEP 110
