later Supply- Erda, Utah. 4, 5^ | OCT 24 1927 Los Angelas, October 24, File Eo. 519-H Mr. 1* L* Adamson: Baring the years 1836 and 183? there was conveyed to the Utah and Nevada Railway Company, predecessor in interest of the L*A. A S.L* R.R.Coo, by Grant, Bargain and Sale Deeds, five shares, being five-twentieths, "of a certain stream or flow of water having its source on Sections 12 and 13, Township 2 South, Range 4 West, Salt Lake Meridian, situated in Tooele County, Utah Territory, the spring from which said stream flows being usually known as the Black Springs". There is no evidence at hand to indicate that any use of made this water for Railroad purposes 1ms been/in recent years. A brief examination of the State and County Records shows that the land in the vicinity of these springe is now held in small ownerships and that recently a water company has filed application to appropriate certain additional water which they propose to develop and in connection with this application they have filed what purports to be proof of beneficial use of all water flowing fro® the springs for a considerable period prior to date of application. Inasmuch as preparation of Abstract of Title on this property would take considerable time we would appreciate advice as to whether it is the intention of this Company to take any action toward establishing its rights to this water. 7 7 Charles Adams* SSHjsl ec« Mr. A. Kalsted
