Quote you fo Hewing from Division Engineer: ”1 have never been in favor of doing th is work at the present time* in the f i r s t place I have never yet seen the time when the town took al3c of our water* and second* we have a house over this sprang and i f we clean i t out this house w ill f a l l down and willr&ave to be replaced at an expense of possibly $700, or |800* V i understand the P a c ific Fruit Express are going to have a cooling tower in operation in the next couple of months* whioh w ill save the large amount o f water they now use in the summer time and whioh is possibly one-fourth of our to ta l supply* For these reasons I would lik e to let this matter slid e u n til we actually need more water at our spring and I w ill then be w illin g to do anything that may be necessary to increase the supply.* Would be glad to know i f this matter can be held in abeyance as suggested.
