Franklin Jr., re­ported that the water hoard would be given sufficient funds to complete the job “ but it might be under the $25,000 re­q u ited . ” A commttee from within the water board m et with represent­atives of the Colorado river commission this week discuss­ing a contract which would as­sure the district 8,000,000 gal­lons of water per day for use in the pipeline, and the commit­tee, consisting of William Coul-thard, E. O. Underhill and John Bunch, r e p o r t e d satisfac­tory progress. The entire board, on Friday, met with representatives of the Blair-Rollins and Coe f i r m ,. of Minneapolis, which sent the men from the branch office in San Francisco, and the water board members said glowing ap­proval of the project was given by the bond underwriting com­pany people. Harry E. Miller, chairman of the water board, said the bond underwriting firm representa- ~ tives, like others who had pre­ceded them, gave optimistic re­ports on the probability of a sale of the bonds, and declared that the program was highly sound. It was reported today by Mil­ler that an election of directors pf the water district would be held on April 4 to replace Thom­as E. Campbell, Miller, Coul-thard and Underhill, whose terms expire this year. Regis­tration for the election will open on February 16 at the county Clerk’s office. ----------- o------ ------
