Shamberger Dear Hugh: Referring to our application to drill a well on the Las Vegas Ranch, State Engineer's No. 12460: The 30-day period of waiting after final publication expired yesterday and as no protests were filed I assume the permit will be granted. We have the casing on hand and are anxious to start drilling as soon as possible. In order to expedite the permit, I am enclosing my check for forty dollars ($40.00), which is at the rate of $10.00 per second foot applied for, and will appreciate anything you can do to expedite the permit.
