COMSTOCK: I have copy of Mr. Bracken's letter to you dated May 23rd, suggesting purchase of the 'Connelly' well at Las Vegas. While I think Mr. Bracken's recommendation would be a good one so far as the City supply is concerned, the thought which prompted the suggestion of drilling the well inside the shop grounds was to protect our facilities there in case of serious labor troubles.
