LOS ANGELES & SALT LAKE RR COMPANY Water Supply at Las Vegas Los Angeles, Calif., May 25th, 1920. FILE 6 1 3 MR. W. H. COMSTOCK: I have copy of Mr. Bracken's letter to you dated May 23rd, suggesting purchase of the 'Connelly' well at Las Vegas. While I think Mr. Bracken's recommendation would be a good one so far as the City supply is concerned, the thought which prompted the suggestion of drilling the well inside the shop grounds was to protect our facilities there in case of serious labor troubles. For that reason I think we should have a well inside the grounds. Yours truly, co- MR. WALTER R.BRACKEN Vice President & Agent, Las Vegas Land & Water Co., Las Vegas, Nev. Chief Engineer. AM/H
