Ritter) Supplementing my letter of July 3rd, relative to the Railroad Company developing an independent water supply at Las Vegas. Attached is copy of minutes of the second meeting held on July 8th, from which you will note that the Committee recommends that the entire Railroad Company's appropriation of 2.5 CFS from Well No. 1 be transferred to the Shop Well at this time, and that no part thereof be relinquished, regardless of whether or not the Shop Well will produce the amount transferred. It is further suggested by the Committee that a standby well and pump be given consideration at the Shop grounds to provide water in the event of an emergency. Additionally, Committee recommends construction of a 300,000 gallon elevated steel tank on 100-foot tower in Shop Yard, rearrangement of piping, etc., in order to take care of water requirements of the Railroad and PFE Company. The water lines proposed for transfer from the Railroad Company to the Las Vegas Land & Water Company serve various industries on the west side, the Railroad Company being reim-
