From the Nye County, Nevada Photograph Collection (PH-00221) -- Series VII. Other areas in Nye County -- Subseries VII.E. Hawkins Family (Duckwater, Nevada). A steam-powered drill rig that Isaac "Ike" Irwin purchased in Eureka to drill for potash in Railroad Valley, Nye County, Nevada. The picture is difficult to accurately date but might be circa 1915. Individuals in the photo are not identified.
