The Las Vegas Rotary Club was founded on March 15, 1923 with eighteen original members, and within five years the membership grew to thirty-four members. In 1931, the Rotary partnered with Six Companies for local support in the building of Boulder (Hoover) Dam. In 1952, the Las Vegas Rotary opened its second location in Henderson, Nevada. In 1986, the Las Vegas Rotary hosted the first International Convention in Nevada for over 20,000 participants. In 2018, Mayor Carolyn Goodman proclaimed April 5 as "Las Vegas Rotary Day." As of 2019, the Rotary Club in the Las Vegas area hosts over 200 members and active within the Las Vegas community.

Material was minimally processed during accessioning by Joyce Moore in 2015. In 2019, as part of an archival backlog elimination project, Sarah Jones revised the collection description to bring it into compliance with current professional standards. In 2022, Sarah Jones ingested files off two DVDs, created .MP4 access copies, and updated the collection description; additional materials were added in 2022.
