Scope and Contents

The ISWFACE Research Library consists of articles compiled by Norma Jean Almodovar on topics related to sex work, including, but not limited to, the decriminalization of sex work, violence against sex workers, human trafficking and exploitation, safe sex practices and HIV/AIDS prevention, qualified immunity, police ethics and corruption, gender inequality, sexual and domestic violence, human rights, labor and occupational safety, crime statistics, feminism, prison abolition, LGBTQ+ issues, sex scandals, and sex worker activism and advocacy. The articles include academic and legal journal articles, newspaper and magazine articles, printed blog posts and news articles, and unpublished manuscripts. A partial physical inventory is located in box 104. Also included in this series are research files for unfinished manuscripts by Norma Jean Almodovar under the working titles “Police, Prostitution, and Politics: Commercial Sex Scandals in America” and “Dishonored Badge, Broken Trust.”
