The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Department of Music Records (1967-2001) primarily contains audio recordings of recitals and studio sessions done by various UNLV orchestras, bands, and choirs. Also included in the collection are programs, newsletters, fliers, and correspondence pertaining to the University Musical Society, as well as UNLV's Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, Wind Quintet, and other musical ensembles.

Materials were transferred to University Archives by the UNLV Department of Music; accession number 2017-062. This set of records includes former record group numbers 2.6.51 and 2.6.52.
These materials are unprocessed. A summary of materials was created by Maggie Bukowski in 2018. In 2019, as part of an archival backlog elimination project, Christina Lamoureux rehoused the materials, revised the summary of materials, estimated dates, identified material types, and entered the data into ArchivesSpace. No other work has been performed on these materials.
