Abstract

Oral history interview with Maxwell Kent “Tim” Hafen conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee White on September 14, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Hafen shares how he began his career in politics in 1963. Hafen talks of developing his ranch into two housing subdivisions in 1990 and 2000, when farming was no longer profitable. He also discusses his job as a general contractor with 2 of his 5 children in Hafen & Hafen Realty and Pahrump Utility Company.
