Coleman, V. C. L., Rev. (1912-1980)
Reverend V. C. L. Coleman (1912–1980) was born in Texas and served as pastor of Second Baptist Church from 1949 to 1974, during which time he was the church’s fourth pastor. He was married to Ida Mae Hilton Coleman. Coleman was active in the NAACP, serving as a member and president of the NAACP Executive Committee.
