Robert N. Broadbent was born in 1925 in Ely, Nevada. He was a pharmacist and eventually became a politican. Broadbent was married in 1953 in Boulder City, Nevada. He rose to in the Republican party, starting as a city council member in Boulder City and eventually becoming a mayor and county commissioner. Broadbent passed away on August 09, 2003.

Muriel Stevens (1925-2016) is a former newspaper columnist, author, chef, and radio and television host. Born December 22, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1954. Stevens is known for her radio and television shows, which focused on food, nutrition, and consumer issues. She hosted a one hour daily radio talk show for eight years before moving to television, where celebrity guests joined her on The Muriel Stevens Show to cook their favorite meals.

In this interview, St. Marie discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1952 and his career as a real estate agent. St. Marie describes how Las Vegas has changed and how the local real estate market has evolved. He also talks about President John F. Kennedy visiting Las Vegas, nuclear weapons testing, natural disasters, and segregation in the city.

Fremont camped at Resting Spring in 1844 on his return trip from California to the east.
