Note with image: "This is where the Nevada sub-station is. Compressor was carried in pieces by the mules and reassembled... It took all day just to walk here and back, I mean all day." " Notes on back of image: "Building power substation above Boulder Dam, Air compressor in foreground, c. 1932. Cleaning surface prior to building sub-station. Dual generator with eight tires was pushed up to this location with bulldozers. - W. A. Davis, 1992."
