At one time the hot springs was a stop on the Bullfrog Goldfield Railroad, which linked Rhyolite and Goldfield. The building pictured is the old station house for the railroad.

But Parks' success in getting transgender-inclusive legislation passed in the 2011 session and the event documented here provided an opportunity for rapprochement between him and Heenan.
